Here at DCE Polymer we only use the very best in commercial grade/industrial strength materials. Unlike other companies who only put down 3-layer systems, we broadcast a 5-layer system with 2 moisture vapor barriers on top and bottom, plus 2 topcoats over your epoxy and chips. Many companies put only one topcoat and with Buffalo’s extreme weather conditions, it does not last very long. We use a chem-seal coating as your first topcoat to protect your floor from salt damage and heavy winter weather, and a breathable urethane for your second topcoat. This allows any moisture present in the floor to evaporate into the air and the combined layers work together to give you the longevity you deserve. Depending on your needs, there are three main topcoats that may be used: 5350 Urethane Coating (chemical resistant, non-yellowing industrial floor coating), 5400 Waterbase Urethane Coating (chemical resistant, non-yellowing industrial or residential floor coating), or the 4190 polyurea coating.
